Uppsala University hereby invites applications for a researcher position in accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) at the Department of Physics and Astronomy. The candidate is expected to equal extend conduct basic and applied AMS research with the existing infrastructure and the isotopes 10Be, 14C, 36Cl and 129I as well as-coordinate commission work with 14C. The experimental base for the planned employment is formed by amongst others a 5 MV Pelletron tandem accelerator with dedicated ion sources, beam lines and detector systems, a MICADAS tandem accelerator for 14C analysis and sample preparation clean-room laboratories with AGE III systems and three IRMS for stable isotope analysis. Within the frame of the commission work the applicants is anticipated to initiate collaboration with universities, industry and other sectors of the society. Supervision of undergraduate and PhD-student projects can be part of the working duties.
