Applications are invited for a part-time (33%) Teaching Fellow in Geoarchaeology. The post provides an opportunity to teach geoarchaeology topics on a range of team-taught modules, from first-year undergraduate to Masters level. This will include introductory level environmental archaeology, soils analysis, depositional processes and stratigraphy at Level 1 (Applied Archaeological Methods and Archaeology Practicals), anthropogenic soils and sediments at Level 2 (Scientific Methods in Archaeology 2), geoarchaeological approaches to the anthropocene at Level 3 (Scientific Methods in Archaeology 3, and site formation theory at Level 4 (Topics in Archaeological Science). In addition, the Teaching Fellow will have primary responsibility for delivering the Level 2 Advanced Skills in Archaeology module 'Geoarchaeology Skills for Field Archaeologists', and the Level 3/4 Specialised Aspect/Research Topic 'Current Geoarchaeology: Reconstructing Archaeological Sites'. There may also be an opportunity to supervise or co-supervise undergraduate and MSc dissertations in geoarchaeology topics, and to teach or co-teach an intensive summer course in practical geoarchaeology.
