The successful applicant will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, method development and management of a new state-of-the-art isotope laboratory. The laboratory facility is finished in 2025 and will host a latest-model TIMS (thermal ionization mass spectrometer) and a Class ISO-3 metal-free clean laboratory. The primary users of the facility are researchers and graduate students at the University of Helsinki and governmental research organizations within the fields of geo-, environmental and food sciences, chemistry, physics, medicine and archaeology. The appointee will also guide students enrolled in MSc degree and Doctoral programs in the isotope laboratory.
