The Leibniz Centre for Archaeology (LEIZA) is a globally active archaeological research institute and museum of the Leibniz Association with its headquarters in Mainz and three further locations in Neuwied, Mayen and Schleswig. Since its foundation in 1852, it has been dedicated to researching material remains from around 3 million years of human history with the aim of understanding human behavior as well as the development and change of societies. As a Leibniz research museum, the transfer of knowledge through publications, events, exhibitions and educational programs is a central component of LEIZA’s work program. The Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Faculty of History, together with the Leibniz Centre for Archaeology, Mainz (LEIZA), is seeking to fill a W3 professorship (m/f/d) for Material Analysis and Conservation Research at the Institute of Archaeological Studies at the Faculty of History in conjunction with the management of the Department of Restoration, Conservation and Material Analysis at the LEIZA.
