The Austrian Archaeological Institute is Austria's largest research institution in the field of archaeology and ancient studies. We study human history from the Quaternary period to modern times, taking into account material archaeological sources and written traditions. Our four Archaeological Sciences Labs (Bioarchaeology, Ceramics, Geochemistry, and Lithics) feature top-equipped laboratory infrastructure for the analysis and archaeological interpretation of materials. The laboratories are equipped with high-tech instruments, both portable and bench-top, such as optical, digital, and scanning electron microscopes, portable XRF, portable FTIR, GC-MS, XRD, and MC-ICP-MS. We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our institute as a Laboratory Technician.
