This position will manage daily laboratory functions, including research, curation, and teaching, for the Department of Anthropology’s Zooarchaeology Laboratory at Harvard University. The lab manager will support the teaching of laboratory courses and provide support for student research. Responsibilities include supporting daily laboratory functions and research by purchasing supplies, curating animal bone specimens, overseeing laboratory safety, maintaining equipment, and providing general lab support. The lab manager will also oversee the computational infrastructure of lab-- including lab computers, tablets, digital storage, and software required for teaching and research-- and should be willing to help train students on the usage of digital resources. The lab manager may contribute to ongoing faculty research projects, including analysis of data, preparation of written documents, presentations, protocols, proposals, and manuscripts, and the publication of findings as needed.
