Join the Parks Canada team of passionate and motivated people who take pride in conserving our national cultural heritage. Through instrumental analysis and chemical analysis, we provide support to our numerous teams of specialists such as Underwater and Terrestrial Archaeology, Built Heritage, and Collections. This is done through sample preparation and performing material testing using SEM, XRF, Raman Spectroscopy, GC-MS, FTIR, and microscopy to help answer questions about age, provenance, methods of manufacture, material and chemical composition, and history of use. Successful candidates will manage numerous projects spanning multiple laboratories, with the opportunity to supervise junior employees and interns in the laboratories.
