The successful applicant will contribute their skills in simulation, visualization and data management/analysis in the research program Maritime Encounters (funded by Riksbankens Jubileumsfond). In the project, an international and interdisciplinary team of researchers focuses on the importance of the sea for long-distance contacts and the development of cultures. The responsibilities include advancing the development of a tool for agent-based simulation of sea routes in time and space. The responsibilities also include analysing data, visualising and communicating results together with researchers. The applicant is also expected to participate in the Centre for Digital Humanities' development and strengthen existing infrastructures for research on digital cultural heritage. The position includes working in an international, interdisciplinary, and creative research environment with regular meetings, workshops and seminars.
