The Department of Archaeology wishes to appoint a Technical Specialist in Zooarchaeology. The role will provide support to specialist research and teaching in zooarchaeology and, when required, osteoarchaeology more broadly. The role holder will maintain, manage, and look to enhance the extensive vertebrate reference collections and associated equipment held at the University of York, and will be a point of contact for external enquiries related to these collections. They will be expected to liaise with the wider technical team, researchers, and academic staff across the Department of Archaeology to ensure and support the delivery of high quality research and teaching in this field.
