Position Summary. Manage laboratories: supervise students, staff and faculty in correct handling of chemicals, including hazardous waste, emergency response procedures and overall compliance with regulatory agencies. Oversee laboratory supply purchasing and regular equipment maintenance. Maintain chemical inventory and communicate closely with relevant departments within NYU (Environmental Health & Safety). Manage art study collection: accession artwork and facilitate community use of collection. Serve as registrar for artwork loans from other institutions and individuals. Manage study collection inventory and ensure safe storage and handling. Lead special training sessions for students in art handling. Manage digital storage of reports on treatment documentation of artwork.
