The college-wide Historic Preservation Program at the University of Florida is seeking a professional in digital imaging of architectural and cultural resources to direct the Envision Heritage initiative and Envision Lab. The position of Assistant or Associate Scholar will support research, teaching, and service and serve as Director of Envision Heritage and Envision Lab. The individual will serve in a leadership role on funded research and sponsored projects involving digital imaging and coordinating materials analysis studies. The individual will work closely with the Director of Historic Preservation. The individual will also work closely with project sponsors, project partners, and other researchers to collect and analyze digital data, create products from digital data, and oversee the materials research undertaken at Envision Lab. The individual will need to have an understanding of historic preservation/cultural heritage conservation procedures and best practices and a technical skillset and understanding of digital imaging technologies and techniques, data management, data integrity, and materials conservation. As a Principal Investigator, the individual will actively seek funding sources for Envision Heritage and Envision Lab.
