Research focusses on diverse building stocks, both older and younger (as well as very young), questions of their value as monuments and challenges of their conservation. Within this context, the structurally outstanding engineering works in Switzerland as well as the built examples of newly developed construction processes and methods are of special interest.
You have a university degree at Masters level (M.Sc.) and a successful PhD degree in architecture, civil engineering, history of art or history of technology. You have experience in applying for research projects and successfully obtaining third-party funding. Knowledge of the Swiss architectural heritage and building tradition are an asset. You are expected to have excellent written and oral skills in German and English.
