The Data Analyst will be part of the Scotland’s Rock Art Project (ScRAP), which sits within the Archaeology and World Heritage Team in Historic Environment Scotland’s Heritage Directorate. ScRAP is the first major research programme to focus on rock art across Scotland. The project is working to enhance understanding and awareness of Scotland’s 3000 prehistoric rock carvings using comprehensive new data co-created through fieldwork with trained community teams. The Data Analyst will provide high quality research assistance to ScRAP, primarily through the design and development of spatial and statistical analyses of the rock art data in association with other datasets, using a range of software packages. The post will also contribute to the interpretation of results and the dissemination of the research through conference presentations, peer-reviewed publications, and other media intended for a wider audience.
