Photogrammetric methods are nowadays frequently used in engineering for surveying and monitoring, allowing the definition of three-dimensional models of the surveyed objects. This can be applied to the environment, to the cultural heritage and to civil engineering structures allowing their quantitative geometric description. Particularly, the possibility of acquiring images using UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) has opened new applications in surveys of objects of moderate dimensions. The candidate is supposed to apply and improve these methodologies. The main research activities will be devoted to the optimization of the photogrammetric survey parameters and to the proper management of the photogrammetric process. This will be done in applications related to the environment, to civil engineering structures (such as dams and bridges) and to the conservation of the cultural heritage.
