A fixed term full-time postdoctoral appointment for 36 months is available at BioArCh, Department of Archaeology, to support the ERC funded project “TRADITION: Long-term Coastal Adaptation, Food Security And Poverty Alleviation In Latin America”. The vacancy is for an analytical chemist or archaeological scientist to work on the chemical analysis of Brazilain coastal Atlantic pottery. Please note that prior doctoral training or equivalent experience in the field of organic residue analysis is highly desirable. As part of this project you may also be expected to make occasional visits to South America to undertake sampling and dissemination of the results with the project partners.
