The Cyprus Institute (CyI) is a European non-profit, Science- and Technology-oriented Educational and Research Institution, based in Cyprus and governed by an acclaimed Board of Directors. The position is part of CyI's archaeometallurgy research focus, ensuring expertise in the primary production of metals and their further processing. A significant part of the position is devoted to building capacity in archaeological materials science in West Africa supported by the A. G. Leventis Foundation and European Union funding. The role therefore combines independent and collaborative archaeometallurgical research with international mentorship and discipline-building activities. Position Specific Responsibilities/activities: Develop and lead independent research projects in archaeological metal production, including fieldwork, experimental approaches, and laboratory analysis; Contribute to the full breadth of the existing research activities of the A. G. Leventis Chair in Archaeological Materials Science.
