The Universidad de Alcalá (UAH), Spain, is offering a one-year research position in digital archaeology and photogrammetry focused on the documentation of Egyptian cultural heritage. The opportunity is aimed at early-career researchers who are interested in archaeology, Egyptology, and modern digital methods used in heritage studies. The selected researcher will join the Department of History and Philosophy under the Community of Madrid Young Researchers Programme. The project focuses on archaeological materials connected to Thebes (Luxor, Egypt), with an emphasis on recording, preserving, and analysing cultural heritage through digital tools. The work involves hands-on experience in archaeological photography, photogrammetric 3D modelling, georeferencing, digital epigraphy, and Reflectance Transformation Imaging (RTI). A key part of the role is building structured digital records and supporting the creation of research outputs based on archaeological data.
