The research project, entitled “Osteoarchaeological and Biochemical Analyses of Protohistoric Funerary Contexts”, involves the systematic study of human skeletal remains from various Italian protohistoric communities, as well as additional international contexts. The project adopts a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach, integrating osteoarchaeological, archaeological, and biochemical analyses. Its aim is to reconstruct how different funerary practices and deposition modes reflect cultural choices, identity dynamics, and criteria for the selection of individuals based on specific biological profiles.
