The Cyprus Institute invites applications for a new faculty member at the level of Associate Professor in the broader area of Archaeological Materials Science within the framework of the ERA Chair project “One Archaeological Science”, to join the Institute’s STARC Centre on a full-time basis (100% FTE) for its premises at Athalassa’s Campus. The ERA Chair “One Archaeological Science” project aims to promote the use of isotope analyses across the archaeological science teams at STARC. The position offers an opportunity to build on the research profile of our material science laboratories within the domain of (inorganic) archaeological materials science, with expertise in geological methodologies such as petrography, mineralogy and chemical (elemental and isotope ratio) analysis methods. We seek candidates who can capitalise on this investment and in addition can contribute to research in environmental archaeology and human bioarchaeology.
