We are looking for a talented Project Conservator and Analyst with a proven ability and track-record to join the Chariots and Cynefin Project (2025-30) team and to undertake the analysis and treatment of the Pembrokeshire chariot fittings and grave-goods, a unique archaeological discovery of Late Iron Age date (50-100 CE). The holder will work with the research team to address project research questions and goals and will contribute to project presentations and publications. We need a confident communicator of archaeological conservation, engaging and inspiring participant communities as part of a complementing programme of enabled creative projects. This post is created by a research project partnership led by the University of Manchester and Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales and grant funded by the Arts & Humanities Research Council. The project is a strategic heritage and community partnership involving Cadw, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, Heneb – Dyfed Archaeology, PLANED and SpanArts and the inputs of a range of contracted researchers and a chariot maker. An employee of Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales, the post-holder will be based at the Archaeological Conservation Laboratory at the National Museum Cardiff.
