The successful applicant will join leading international researchers in the Organic Geochemistry Unit and the Bristol Isotope Group. By analysing skeletal human remains by CC-MC-ICPMS/MS to determine Ca isotope composition, you will contribute to the NeoCalcium research project, investigating milk consumption in Prehistory. The role is based in laboratories in the School of Chemistry and the Bristol Isotope Group at the University of Bristol. As a Research Associate/Senior Research Associate, you will secure access to archaeological material, prepare the samples in readiness for analysis by CC-MC-ICPMS/MS, and prepare the data for publication. A Research Technician will be recruited to support with the analyses. You will have the opportunity to share your expertise in the training of less experienced lab users, undergraduate project students for example.
