As part of the ESTER project (Estimating the Earth’s Prehistoric Population Based on a Large Number of Records). The ESTER project applies innovative methodologies such as hierarchical Bayesian modeling to integrate heterogeneous datasets and create regionalized population reconstructions with high temporal resolution. The research aims to provide insights into interactions between environmental change, societal transformations, and innovation processes.
