Associação Biopolis is calling for applications for a Junior Researcher position funded by FCT - Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, focused on archaeogenetic analyses of domestic sheep from the Iberian Peninsula and North Africa. We seek candidates with (i) experience in ancient DNA methodologies (or in the genetic analysis of degraded specimens), such as laboratory skills in ancient DNA extraction from animal specimens and preparation of ancient DNA libraries for next-generation sequencing; (ii) experience in bioinformatics analysis of next-generation sequencing of ancient and modern specimens and whole-genome genotyping data; (iii) expertise in Population Genomics and Genome Wide Association Studies.
