The Doris Z. Stone Post-Doctoral Fellowship aims to foster the professional development of emerging scholars, enrich the dynamic research environment of the Middle American Research Institute (MARI), and promote intellectual exchange within the Institute’s academic community. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research focuses on incorporating GIS and remote sensing technologies into settlement pattern analysis, landscape archaeology, or community-based research. Candidates with expertise in applying these tools to Mesoamerican or Central American contexts, particularly in areas such as settlement patterns, household archaeology, or community engagement, are strongly encouraged to apply. Proficiency in GIS-based spatial data analysis and remote sensing technologies is highly desirable.
