We are looking for a postdoc candidate to be part of the Research team of the ERC Consolidator DEMODRIVERS. The selected candidate will carry out research on the paleoecology of the Bolivian Amazon. The research goals include: 1) Interpret and sample stratigraphic sequences from lake cores 2) Analysis of pollen, charcoal and NPP 3) Reconstruct human-environment interactions since the late Pleistocene in the Bolivian Amazon. The Post doc will be required to take responsibility for all the steps involved in the palaeoecological reconstruction of the Bolivian Amazon. This will involve, but will not be limited to, splitting, documenting and sampling sedimentary cores; extraction and analysis of pollen, charcoal and NNP; synthetizing and publishing results.
