The Junior Professor will develop independent projects particularly focused on digital documentation and analysis methods (i.e. digital methodologies) for the investigation and the analysis of archaeological contexts; how new technologies are influencing the way of how we investigate and perceive the past). Her/his research may also extend to the role which digital and geospatial technologies (i.e. remote sensing, 3D mapping, GIS) play in the investigation and protection of sites and materials of cultural significance as well as developing public-facing approaches that alter the traditional processes of production and dissemination of knowledge in historic parks, archaeological sites and museums (e.g. digital archives and collections, virtual and augmented reality, mobile apps). The activity will also requires skills in quantitative analytics and data interpretation.
