The Cyprus Institute invites applications for a highly qualified and motivated individual to join the Institute as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Archaeozoology in the STARC. The successful candidate will work in the field of research is archaeozoology, ancient DNA research, and archaeology. The role is to conduct research to further develop a professional documentary (video) about Cyprus’ indigenous cattle breed. This will build on, publish and expand current novel and significant research results obtained at CyI as part of an A. G. Leventis Foundation-funded project (ARETI / CyZebu), in close cooperation with the Agricultural Research Institute and a professional film maker (SME). The scope of the role also includes to contribute to new grant proposal preparation. In general, the successful candidate is expected to: Conduct research to further develop research skills and competencies, and publishing novel and significant results in selective peer-reviewed journals and conferences; Contribute to all aspects of sponsored Research, Innovation and/or Development projects (including conducting research, co-authoring publications, implementing deliverables, reporting activities, dissemination activities, etc).
