The Sylvia Ioannou Fellowship in Digital Humanities is a prestigious Postdoctoral position, and the selected candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in the research activities of the Digital Humanities GeoInformatics Lab at the Archaeological Research Unit of the University of Cyprus. The Digital Humanities GeoInformatics Lab comprises a vibrant research group, housed in the heart of Nicosia, Cyprus. Directed by Prof Dr Apostolos Sarris, the Lab employs several international Postdoctoral and PhD researchers, and offers access to research space, high powered computers, geophysical instrumentation and specialized processing software. The fellow will be part of an active team with expertise in Geophysical Prospection, GIS, 3D modelling, Geomorphology, Soil Micromorphology, Database design, and more. Activities of the lab include basic research, teaching, and collaborative fieldwork in different countries throughout the year. Through international collaboration and research amongst team members, the Lab offers a dedicated, supporting environment for the professional development of young researchers.
