The Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence is seeking highly skilled candidates to develop methodologies using space-borne and aerial data for studying, monitoring, and protecting archaeological sites and heritage assets. These roles are part of the REVITALISER and ENIGMA projects. The successful candidates will be responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and processing satellite and UAV imagery, integrating these data with semi-automatic and AI-driven algorithms. They will utilize optical and Synthetic Aperture Radar Imagery (SAR) along with open-source software tools to identify buried structures, monitor sites at risk of looting, and assess anthropogenic and natural hazards. The goal is to create mitigation strategies and early warning systems in coordination with national and international authorities.
