The successful candidate will take responsibility for management of the laboratory of the Prehistory Department and will work on the analysis of preserved organic residues in archaeological ceramics from Mesoamerica. Your tasks: Conduct independent research, publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences; Develop collaborations with national and international research partners and laboratories, leveraging collective expertise and resources; Perform sample preparation and analysis of preserved organic compounds in archaeological ceramics using gas chromatography, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and gas chromatography-isotope ratio mass spectrometry; create local modern references of food products using the same techniques; Oversee laboratory operations (including data management and the maintenance and repair of analytical instruments) and supervise technical personnel; Provide guidance and support to junior team members and visiting researchers, including supervision and training of graduate students.
