The American Museum of Natural History is one of the world’s preeminent scientific and cultural institutions, and has as its mission to discover, interpret and disseminate information about human cultures, the natural world and the universe through a wide-ranging program of scientific research, education and exhibition. The Museum’s Institute for Comparative Genomics (ICG) is seeking a full-time Research Assistant to handle day-to-day responsibilities and aid in the management of a NSF-funded ancient biomolecules laboratory. The Research Assistant manages the laboratory and equipment, maintains operating procedures, validates methodologies and assists lab users. They are also responsible for maintaining the laboratory, updating protocols and contributing to teaching materials.
