The NSF-funded project Osmore Mobilty and Infectious Disease (OMID) in the School of Human Evolution and Social Change (SHESC) at Arizona State University is recruiting one Postdoctoral Research Scholar under the supervision of Dr. Kelly J. Knudson, Director of the Archaeological Chemistry Laboratory. The postdoctoral research scholar will conduct heavy and light isotopic analysis of archaeological material from the Moquegua Valley of Peru in order to better understand the relationship between mobility and the spread of tuberculosis in the past. These duties include all aspects of sample preparation in the Archaeological Chemistry Laboratory at Arizona State University, as well as analysis using facilities and instrumentation in the METAL facility in the School of Earth and Space Exploration at ASU as well as returning samples to the appropriate repositories in Peru.
