The anthropology department seeks a postdoctoral scholar of bioarchaeology whose ethical framework prioritizes collaboration with descendant communities. We are particularly interested in applicants working on the bodily effects of social inequality, structural violence, or environmental change, bodily differences as applied to disability or transgender studies, or studies of the skeletal markers of health and illness. The teaching load will be three courses per year including introduction to archaeology, introduction to biological anthropology, skeletal anatomy, forensic anthropology, and a course on the region or method of expertise. Courses will be taught with replica skeletal material, in keeping with our department's ethics.
