The University of Georgia’s (UGA) Center for Applied Isotope Studies (CAIS) seeks to hire a Research Scientist in the Stable Isotope Laboratory with expertise in the measurement of light stable isotopes (C,H,N,O,S). The successful applicant will work closely with UGA’s interdisciplinary research community to develop tailored methods and novel applications of stable isotope analyses in such fields as anthropology, archaeology, ecology, geology, geography, marine sciences, food sciences, forensics, and/or other disciplines. The duties involve managing analytical projects and laboratory staff/students; running/maintaining/troubleshooting IRMS instruments and peripherals (EA, Gas Bench, and TC/EA); and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams leading to publications in peer-reviewed literature.
