The grantee will complete the (for the most part already accomplished) analysis and will proceed to the general interpretation of the archaeozoological data collected by the Ca’ Foscari archaeological expeditions in Georgia in 2009-2023 (Natsargora, Aradetis Orgora/Doghlauri, Tsiteli Gorebi 5, Tchiauri 1 e 2 sites, chronological range Early Chalcolithic-Iron Age). He/she is expected to contextualise the data from the functional, chronological and geographical points of view, will collaborate with the other members of the research team in evaluating the results of the already carried out analyses and in choosing to perform further analyses on the materials. He/she will evaluate the results obtained in the light of other published archaeozoological corpora from sites of the Southern Caucasus and Eastern Anatolia, with the special aim to reconstruct variability and development in the course of time of the pastoral mobility patterns in the region.
