This role is based in the ISAAC Lab (Imaging and Sensing for Archaeology, Art history and Conservation), on the NTU Clifton Campus. The ISAAC Lab specialises in developing portable, non-invasive and non-destructive optical imaging, remote sensing systems and spectroscopy instruments for application to Heritage Institutions, including museums, art galleries, libraries, archives, and archaeological and historic sites. We are inviting applications for a Research Fellow position to work on an AHRC funded project. This will involve further developing data science capability in the ISAAC Lab, non-invasive spectroscopic analysis of painting materials and assisting with data collection trip with the ISAAC Mobile Lab. ISAAC Lab has over the years established a reputation for world leading heritage science research which featured in the recent Queen’s Anniversary Prize award to the university.
