Research activities will concern the application of the cutting-edge procedures and protocols of ancient DNA. In particular, they will be focussed on the sampling of archaeological remains for palaeogenomic analysis, the photographic documentation, the decontamination of the remains, the DNA extraction, the preparation of genomic libraries, the enrichment of genomic portions of interest, the sequencing using NGS technologies, the data interpretation for the evaluation of endogenous DNA and degradation patterns, the mapping of genomes, the analysis of population genetics and phylogenic analysis for the contextualization of the data in ancient and modern European variability.
