The grant is foreseen for a figure with a technical-scientific background in environmental applied sciences and cultural heritage protection. The candidate should have a good knowledge of structure, nature and degradation processes of natural and artificial stone materials (wall paintings, stucco, etc.) and diagnostic technologies in order to deepen the methodologies for the preservation of the artistic and historical sites selected in the project. The candidate will enhance his/her knowledge of the specific degradation process of natural and artificial stone materials both in India and Italy, working alongside the coordinator and the project partners. In particular, the post-doc will work with the various units that are part of the project (both Indian and Italian) organizing and actively participating in the planned events (informal meetings, workshops, meetings, discussions, etc. ); in addition, he/she will spend part of his/her time at the three Italian units - University of Ca' Foscari, Soprintendenza Archeologia Belle Arti e Paesaggio per il comune di Venezia e Laguna (SABAP Ve) and Istituto Centrale per il Restauro (ICR) - in order to develop his/her skills in the field of protection, conservation and restoration of cultural heritage, playing an active role in planning and carrying out field activities together with the researchers of the facilities involved, both in India and in Italy.
