The Department of Archaeology at the University of York is seeking a postdoctoral research associate (Bioinformatics) to work on the ERC funded project “COMMIOS: Communities and Connectivities: Iron Age Britons and their Continental Neighbours” led by Professor Ian Armit. The project is a collaboration with the Reich Laboratory at Harvard Medical School, SUERC (University of Glasgow) and BGS (Keyworth). The postholder will conduct individual and collaborative research in bioinformatics using ancient human DNA data, the writing up of research results and their dissemination through scientific publications, seminar and conference presentations. The postholder will liaise closely with colleagues at Harvard over all aspects of ancient DNA analysis.
