We have an exciting opportunity for a Scientific Dating Coordinator to join our team at Historic England to support our senior specialists in delivering major projects. Your primary role will be to develop the Historic England Radiocarbon Database, facilitating public access via the ProjectC14 portal at the Archaeological Data Service. This will include populating Historic England data commissioned since 2015, training and mentoring external contributors, and validating data from England for deposition. There will also be the opportunity to develop your skills in Bayesian chronological modelling, both by leading on casework in support of colleagues in other parts of Historic England and by supporting specialist modellers in delivering more complex and long-term projects.
