The Department of History and Archaeology, Macquarie University is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow, who will undertake the study of glass held by the Macquarie University History Museum. The appointee will have knowledge of Roman artefacts including Roman glass and wider knowledge of ancient glass. The research fellow will scope opportunities for the development of publications based on the Roman glass collection, that may include collaboration with other colleagues, including those from the Faculty of Science and Engineering to undertake analyses, and/or develop a better understanding of the provenance of these artefacts. In addition, the research fellow will initiate a programme of digitisation of the collection and to develop a digital exhibition by the end of the 12 month period of employment.
