The Department of Archaeology at the Max Planck Institute of Geoanthropology draws upon field and laboratory approaches in archaeology to undertake cutting-edge research into our species’ past. Our department is seeking a Technician (f/m/d) for its archaeological science laboratories. Your tasks: Assist in day-to-day operations in our laboratories for ZooMS and radiocarbon sample preparation; Pre-treat archaeological samples for ZooMS palaeoproteomics, radiocarbon, and other biomolecular analyses; Support PhD students and postdoctoral researchers in running standard laboratory equipment like freeze driers, FTIR, and XRF.
