The research programme focuses on the implementation of non-destructive investigation techniques aiming at studying presence, shape and nature of metallic objects that are hidden to the sight. It will revolve around two case-studies, at two different scales: an archaeological find of relatively small dimensions and a natural environment. The first activity will consist of the completion of the executive project to use an industrial tomograph to study an ancient Egyptian mummy; the second of the executive project to use georadar to locate the remains of trenches dating to World War II under the Alpine glaciers.
