The Institute of Human Paleoecology and Social Evolution (IPHES), invites applications for a post-doctoral position in Geoarchaeology within the scope of the INVESTIGO project. The person hired will have to organise and analyse the record of the combustion structures (CS) of the Late Palaeolithic site of Abric Romaní (Capellades, Barcelona) (45,000-60,000 BP). The main tasks of organisation are based on obtaining a graphic representation of the distribution of the CSs of each archaeological level and sub-level and a homogeneous database of the morphological and micro-stratigraphic features extracted from the fieldwork. The analysis tasks involve classifying combustion structures by means of geostatistics, analysis of rings and sectors with the selected archaeological material collected, and organising a geodatabase dedicated to the CSs as a heat network.
