The Department of Archaeology seeks a postdoctoral research associate to work for 24 months on the ERC funded project “COMMIOS: Communities and Connectivities: Iron Age Britons and their Continental Neighbours” led by Professor Ian Armit. In this role, you will conduct research in the field of human osteoarchaeology under the supervision of senior colleagues and also contribute towards wider collaborative research. You will analyse and interpret research data, write up research results and disseminate findings through publications, seminar and conference presentations, public engagement and outreach activities. You will draft osteological reports for the use of museums and other organisations supplying the project with samples. You will also undertake appropriate organisational and administrative activities connected to the research project, including conference organisation, and the development of promotional or educational material including website maintenance and development and the use of social media. You will contribute to the development of collaborative networks both internally and externally, and attend and contribute to relevant meetings.
