The Tucci lab at Yale University invites applications for Postdoctoral Research Associate positions. Our research addresses fundamental questions in Human Evolutionary Genomics by using field work, laboratory work, and cutting-edge computational approaches to disentangle the evolutionary forces that have shaped patterns of genetic variation in human populations. A successful candidate will develop and use statistical frameworks to analyze large-scale genomic data sets to reconstruct the evolutionary history of modern and ancient human populations (as well as human and non-human primates) and to gain insights into genetic adaptations. Expected responsibilities include conducting research, attending weekly lab meetings, participating to scientific journal clubs, preparing research findings for publication and presenting reports at professional meetings. Opportunities exist for mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.
