The position includes working as a zooarchaeologist with the ArchaeoScience Unit of the Globe Institute, which advises and carries out scientific analysis for the archaeological museums in Denmark. Furthermore, the position includes a research component on faunal materials from Greenlandic sites focussed on resource utilisation and with a special emphasis on preservation issues and taphonomic pathways. The right applicant therefore has a strong track-record in the analysis and publication of faunal remains, including the ability to carry out research and contribute to published and unpublished reports on materials from Denmark and Greenland. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to continue the development of the ArchaeoScience Unit, as well as develop a personal research profile.
