We are looking for a qualified and motivated employee with a research interest in the field of soil geography or related disciplines. The group investigates human-environment interactions and environmental risks, using integrative and interdisciplinary research approaches in cooperation with disciplines like archeology/prehistory, ecology and geology. Preconditions are a very good doctoral dissertation in Physical Geography (Geomorphology or Soil Geography) or Soil Science, or in related disciplines in the field of geosciences, as well as the willingness to participate in ambitious regional, international and interdisciplinary research projects and fieldwork abroad. Further prerequisite is practical experience with the application of pedological methods in the field and in the laboratory, and a good command of German and English. Very good knowledge of statistical methods for data analysis is desirable.
