The Institute of Fine Arts of New York University seeks applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor in conservation science. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in scholarship and teaching and will hold a terminal science degree (PhD) with a minimum of one to three years’ post-graduate experience, preferably in museum-based conservation science. Additional experience in preventive conservation or imaging science is desirable. The appointee will teach four graduate-level courses each academic year, focusing on the foundations-level courses in science that every conservation student must take. As a full-time member of the Institute of Fine Arts faculty, student advisement and active mentoring is required, as is service on Institute committees.
