The Goldberg lab in the department of Evolutionary Anthropology at Duke University is recruiting 1-2 postdoctoral scholars to join the lab early 2022. The candidate will develop and apply quantitative methods to study primate & human evolutionary genetics and infectious disease dynamics in the context of demographic, archeological, paleontological, and environmental records. The postdoctoral scholar may work on a range of projects in evolutionary and human genetics, computational archeology, and human-environment interactions, including: Methods to combine genetic and archeological data for inference ; Theoretical modeling of sexual selection and polygenic traits ; Computational modeling of population dynamics ; Adaptation & ecology of malaria in the Americas & Africa.
